Check out our Butterfly snuggie blanket! I’m always inspired by yarn and colour. Bernat Baby blanket yarn is so soft and cozy it makes the perfect blankets! The beautiful colours made me think of butterflies so I’ve had this design on my mind for a while.

I’m so happy how our butterfly snuggie blanket came together. The body style is similar to my other blankets made to cocoon around the calves and feet with an opening at the back. My favourite part of this design that makes it stand out is the wings!
I love that you can keep you arms tucked in and warm but still have your hands free to draw, color or use your computer, laptop or tablet. Or most importantly crochet!

This pattern is designed to work up quick using super bulky yarn and an 11.5mm crochet hook. It’s a simple design suitable for a beginner using double crochet stitch throughout. I have included sizes toddler, child and teen/adult size.
If using large 300g balls you will need 2 solid and 2 multi coloured balls for toddler and child size blankets. For adult you will need 3 solid and 3 multicoloured.
If substituting worsted weight yarn I suggest 3 strands for the equivalent thickness. There are so many fun colour combinations and Bernat has now added Brights to their Blanket yarn collection!
