I’m so excited for 2018! I have lots of great patterns planned for this year. One of my goals for the year is to offer more easy beginner patterns on my YouTube Channel. I love quick simple designs that look great! There’s so many projects that can be made with only beginner skills and having a video to accompany a pattern really helps to build confidence. I also think that using a large hook makes the project much easier and if you can finish something quick you’re more likely to get hooked!
I love a warm bulky beanie and having a little bulk is a little more flattering to wear than a simple thin beanie. I used the seed stitch in this pattern for its texture and warmth. It’s also very simple only using a single and double crochet stitch throughout. You can whip up this hat in under 30 mins so it’s a perfect quick project for January.
I’ve fallen in love with Sprightly Acrylic Wool Super Bulky. The added wool makes this yarn feel more natural than a 100% acrylic yarn. It’s also one of the bulkiest super bulky yarns I’ve used. The bulkier the better! Especially if you’re wanting to use a large hook like the Q. So lets jump into this pattern.
