Back Story
When I first started my crochet business baby sets and baby prop items were the most popular request I received. I have to admit I absolutely loved making cute baby items. They’re very quick and satisfying to make. Being a mom of 4 you can imagine I’m a little obsessed with babies and cute tiny baby clothes! I didn’t start crocheting until my youngest was 18 mths, so I never had the privilege of making my own babies these adorable sets. Going through all my old images I couldn’t help but start scheduling some #throwbackthursday posts. I posted the criss-cross baby set I frequently made with interchangeable flowers. This was before I was writing my patterns for sale. (original photo below).
I received so many comments and requests for the Dusty Rose Baby Set I just had to write up the pattern! It needed a matching crochet blanket so I picked a classic wave chevron crochet stitch with soft soothing colours.
The Dusty Rose Baby Blanket and Hat is available for FREE on my YouTube Channel.
The video includes how to make the tassels but I’ve also put up the tassel video separately for easy reference.
