Yarn Inspiration
Mary Maxim Prism (CDN) is a gorgeous lightweight variegated wool look yarn. If you are unable to obtain this yarn, I have provided some great, recommended substitutes for you. If you are looking for a solid yarn Mary Maxim Mellowspun (CDN) is a perfect alternative. Lion Brand Mandela will also work great if you are looking for a variegated affordable alternative. King Cole Riot DK is an excellent wool/acrylic substitute coming in a few dark variegated woodsy colours.
You can also check out WeCrochet Chroma Twist and Brava Stripes. Though these are a worsted weight #4, they will still work for this pattern. The shawl will come out larger. Adjust by working fewer rows.

Cut 202, 12″ strands of yarn. Set aside for shawl completion.

Magic Ring, ch 3 (counts as 1 dc here and throughout), work (2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in ring, loosely pull the ring closed, turn—6 sts.
Row 2:
Ch 3, work 2 dc in first st, ch 2, sk next 2 sts, work (1 dc, ch 2, 1 dc) in next ch-2 sp, ch 2, sk next 2 sts, work 3 dc in turning ch, turn—8 sts.
Row 3:
Ch 3, work 2 dc in first st, ch 2, sk next 2 sts, work 3 dc in next ch-2 sp, ch 2, sk next st, work (1 dc, ch 2, 1 dc) in next ch-2 sp, ch 2, sk next st, work 3 dc in next ch-2 sp, ch 2, sk next 2 sts, work 3 dc in turning ch, turn —14 sts.

Blocking
Project Tips!
Blocking your shawl to give it its full drape and stretch!
Wet in lukewarm water with a small amount of dish soap or wool wash. Allow soaking for around 25-30 min. Squeeze out as much water as possible. Wrap in a towel to press out the excess water. Lay the shawl out on blocking mats and pin it to the measurements. Allow to dry thoroughly. Remove pins.
Fringe Attachment
Each Fringe is made of 2 strands. Attach fringe by inserting crochet hook through shawl stitch, fold fringe in half and pull folded end through. Insert fringe ends through the loop and pull to tighten. Attach the first two strands to the corner. Attach in every third stitch working from the corner. Steam and trim ends.
