Check out our Free Child Size Video! Crochet Cabled Hat. My newest pattern has a history. I designed this crochet cabled hat way back in 2016 but never published it. It’s so weird because it’s one of my favourite hat patterns. Do you have a go-to hat that is just so cozy and comfortable? This is that hat for me! It just feels so good to wear. I decided to do a Free child size video and finally put this crochet cabled hat pattern out into the world!

I’ve always been a little obsessed with tweed yarn and Vanna’s Choice by Lion Brand is amazing! I just LOVE this yarn. It comes out so thick and cozy.

I crocheted the Adult crochet cabled hat in Grey Marble and the child-size in Oatmeal. Oatmeal has always been a favourite of mine. Here’s my original oatmeal hat that’s been washed a million times and still looks like new (Tip remove the pom pom when washing).

The PDF crochet pattern includes a Baby, Toddler, Child and Adult size crochet cabled hat. The sizing chart and measurements are included in the pattern. Always measure because some kids are adult size and some adults are child-size, lol. Little Meg is growing so fast she’s soon going to be wearing an adult size hat. Can I just make her stop growing!

This is an intermediate crochet pattern. You need to have some knowledge of certain stitches before you jump into this design. The video assumes you know how to crochet. I will go slowly at first but will speed up as I go, so the video isn’t too long. You can watch these beginner videos on how to Half Double and Treble Crochet.
