Learn How to Crochet Series – How to Change Color

In today’s lesson you’ll learn how to change color!  Our video will demonstrate changing color at the end of a row and changing color throughout a row. We’ll also demonstrate carrying the yarn throughout and dropping a color and picking it back up again.

If you haven’t yet learned the basics go check out our first lesson on YouTube.

Lesson #1 will teach the ultimate basic step, HOW TO HOLD THE YARN AND CHAIN

For my learn to crochet series I will be using Super Bulky weight #6 yarn and a 9mm crochet hook.  You can use any hook and yarn weight but I feel learning with a larger hook and weight yarn is easier. In today’s lesson we use the color Salmon and Mountie Mango.

Yarn used in video series – Sugar Bush Yarns Chill

We use the single crochet stitch in this lesson you can review how to single crochet (sc) in lesson #2
