Granny Stitch Pocket Shawl

A couple of months ago, I posted about this stunning purple yarn I had just received in the mail. I was so in love with it that I knew I had to make something special! After asking for suggestions, several people recommended a shawl, and I immediately knew a Granny Stitch pocket shawl was the perfect choice. It’s been years since I made one! I know I mentioned moving away from Granny Stitch patterns, but I couldn’t resist just one more! I hope you enjoy this fast and easy crochet shawl with pockets pattern!

Easiest Crochet Pattern for Beginners

The best part about this crochet shawl pattern is how incredibly simple it is! This could easily be one of the easiest crochet patterns for beginners. My daughters often say it felt tricky at first because they were inclined to work in straight rows without purpose when learning how to crochet. As soon as anything got a bit complex, they would give up or get frustrated. What’s perfect about this pattern is that it’s just a large rectangle, so you’re working back and forth in easy granny clusters. What’s even better is how practical it is! Plus, the step-by-step tutorial makes it even more beginner-friendly!
