Easy Crochet Hearts
If you know me, you know I’m not one for tedious, tiny details—so trust me, these crochet hearts are anything but! They’re bulky, quick, and fun to make.
After seeing so many requests for a Valentine’s Day gnome, I decided to dress it up with a pink hat and a cute heart embellishment. But I couldn’t stop there! I had to create these plush, squishy hearts to go along with it.
I always feel a little sad taking down my Christmas décor, so adding these hearts and gnomes brought a bit of warmth and love into my space. The idea for the big hearts was actually inspired by my hat design! ❤️
The Mini Heart is created using the small heart pattern, but instead of holding three strands together, you’ll use just one strand of yarn and a smaller hook size.
In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of easily tripling the yarn from one skein of worsted weight yarn to create super bulky yarn. You’ll learn how to crochet a heart step by step, starting with the humps worked in a continuous round and joining them.
We will continue by crocheting the heart in the round, demonstrating how to use invisible decreases to shape the bottom of the heart. This video focuses specifically on the steps for creating the small size heart. Join us and get ready to craft a beautiful heart with ease!

Inv Sc2tog – Invisible Single Crochet 2 together – Insert hook through the flo of next 2 sts, YO (Yarn Over), pull through 2 loops on the hook twice.
Construction
The heart is constructed from the top down, starting with each hump worked separately in a continuous round. Once the humps are complete, they are seamlessly joined, and the heart is continued in a continuous round. Decreases are incorporated to shape the heart. As you progress, be sure to stuff the heart with polyester fill to give it dimension and fullness. Pattern includes 4 sizes with a step by step tutorial on YouTube for the small size heart.

Crochet Hearts Pattern:
Notes: The heart is worked by holding together three strands of worsted-weight yarn, or you can use one strand of super bulky weight yarn. It is constructed in a continuous round from the top down. Use a stitch marker to indicate the first stitch of each round. If you would like to create a mini heart that can be used as a decoration or embellishment on our Gnome Hat, simply use one strand of yarn with a 4mm hook, following the small heart pattern.
