In today’s lesson, you’ll learn how to change color in crochet! Our video will demonstrate changing color in crochet at the end of a row and changing the crochet color throughout a row. I’ll also demonstrate carrying the yarn throughout and dropping color and picking it back up again.

Firstly, if you haven’t yet learned crochet basics I suggest you check out our learn to crochet lesson on YouTube.
Lesson #1 will teach the ultimate first step, HOW TO HOLD THE YARN AND CHAIN
Secondly, I will be using Super Bulky weight #6 yarn, and a 9mm crochet hook for my learn to crochet series, so it’s easy to follow along. You can use any hook and yarn weight, but I feel learning with a larger hook, and weight yarn is easier. In today’s lesson, change color in crochet, we use the color Salmon and Mountie Mango.
