One of my favourite quick makes is a simple crochet scrunchie. My daughters love them and wear them every day, and somehow they still manage to lose them just as fast. We can never have enough in our house.

This Suzette Scrunchie is a perfect stash-busting crochet project. It uses just a small amount of DK weight yarn, and the colours blend beautifully when worked up. I used Mary Maxim Prism (CDN), and because of the variegated colour transitions, every scrunchie looks completely unique.
If you love quick and practical crochet projects, this one is for you. The Suzette stitch gives such soft texture and a beautiful ruffle. It is simple enough for beginners and can be completed in under an hour. These scrunchies make perfect last-minute Christmas crochet gifts, stocking stuffers, teacher gifts, and fantastic additions to craft markets.

Construction
The Suzette Scrunchie is worked seamlessly in the round around a standard elastic hair band. You’ll begin by crocheting directly onto the elastic, covering it with a base round of stitches. Once the foundation is complete, the suzette stitch pattern is built outward in continuous rounds to create a textured, ruffled effect. The result is a soft, stretchy scrunchie with beautiful texture and structure. This method makes it quick to work up and easy to customize with different yarn colours or elastic sizes.
