Welcome to the Suzette Stitch Raglan Sweater crochet pattern! This beautiful and flattering top-down crochet sweater is just what your handmade wardrobe needs. It’s practical, comfortable, and simple to adjust, as it’s designed from the top down.

The Suzette Stitch has always been one of my favourite go-to stitches. I first learned it when I began crocheting, and it’s been a favourite ever since. It’s an easy, relaxing stitch that works up quickly, making it perfect for this seamless raglan design.

Project Overview

The Suzette Raglan Sweater is a seamless top down crochet design worked in the beautifully textured Suzette stitch using single and double crochet stitches. Joined and turned as you go, it creates a smooth polished finish with no sewing required. Available in sizes XS to 5X, it features classic ribbed details at the collar, cuffs, and waistband, giving the sweater structure while maintaining a cozy relaxed fit that is perfect for layering through fall and winter.

Construction

The Suzette Raglan Sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down in a classic raglan style, making it easy to adjust both fit and length as you go. The yoke is crocheted in the round, with increases along the raglan seams to shape the shoulders. Once the yoke is complete, the sleeves are placed on hold while the body is joined and worked in continuous rounds.

The hemline is finished with a join-as-you-go ribbed band that gently cinches at the waist. To complete the sweater, the sleeves are rejoined, worked to the desired length, and finished with matching ribbed cuffs.

Rectangular crochet project in shades of blue and brown, crafted with Suzette Stitch Raglan technique, featuring an oval opening in the center, two balls of yarn, and orange artificial leaves on a white surface.
