What Makes a Good Crossbody Bag?
A good crochet crossbody bag should be sturdy and able to hold its shape without being too stiff. The bag should be made with high-quality yarn that is durable enough to last with daily use. The size of the bag should be practical and spacious enough to hold all your essentials but not too large that it becomes too bulky. The strap should be comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. A good crochet crossbody bag should be stylish and fashionable. The puff stitch granny squares are certainly a stunning design for a crossbody bag. The bag should be easy to clean and maintain, ensuring that it remains in good condition for a long time. Using removable straps and washable yarn ensures easy cleaning.

What Material is Best for a Crochet Bag?
When it comes to a crochet bag, the material you choose for your yarn is important. Heavyweight high-quality yarn is a good choice for a durable and sturdy crochet bag. If your bag is not sturdy enough, it will droop with the fewest items.
My favourite option is wool or wool blends, which are so strong and durable and have the advantage of being soft and cozy at the same time. Wool has amazing natural elasticity and works well to hold the shape of a bag without stretching out of shape.
Cotton is one of the most popular choices for crochet bags because it is strong, durable, and easy to clean. It can also take on a lot of weight without stretching or sagging, making it an excellent choice for crochet bags. It can be difficult to find Bulky-weight cotton, so I suggest crocheting two strands at once.
Acrylic yarn is another option for a crochet bag. It’s affordable and comes in a wide range of colours. Acrylic yarn is also very easy to care for and can be machine washed and dried. However, it’s not as sturdy as cotton or wool, so it may not be the best option for heavy items.

Are Crossbody Bags Still in Style?
Crossbody bags are totally in style and have been a popular fashion accessory for many years now. Crossbody bags are especially popular for people who prefer to have their hands free while running errands or travelling. Personally, I love using my crossbody bags for amusement park days or holding my important documents going through the airport.
Crossbody bags are both practical and fashionable, and they will make a great addition to any outfit, whether you’re running errands, travelling or going out for a night on the town.

Crochet Crossbody Bag Construction
To create the Granny Style Crossbody Bag, start by crocheting four granny square motifs, which are crocheted in the round to create their signature appearance. Once completed, the squares are seamed together using the flat slip stitch join method to form the body of the bag.
To finish off the bag, rings are added to each side for the strap attachment, allowing you to customize the bag to your personal style and comfort. You may choose to purchase a strap or create a Tunisian knit strap that provides a removable strap option.
