Finished Measurements:

Width 76″, Length 44″

Easily add length to your blanket by repeating the gray/white section. All the details are included in the pdf pattern.

We added an optional cozy splurge to this throw blanket. Fur trim! I used a very affordable value yarn for this blanket so I think adding the fur adds a bit of luxury to this piece.

Yarn Requirements: 

Any Worsted Weight Yarn 

Craftsmart Value Yarn – 100% Acrylic (364yds/333m /7oz/198g) purchased at Michaels Stores

* Blanket is worked holding together 2 strands. Buy even number of balls or for odd ball separate into 2 balls before starting

Size Double/Queen

Double/Queen size shown in (MC) Gray 6 balls needed or 1900 yards and (CC) White 4 balls needed or 1380 yards

Loops & Threads Fur Yarn 100% Polyester (70yds/64m/3.5oz/100g) use only 1 strand shown in Pink Tipped Brown – purchased at Michaels Stores

50 yards of fur yarn used

Crochet Hook Requirements:

US M/13 (9mm) or size needed to obtain gauge 

Gauge:

Blanket: Double/Queen

Hold together 2 strands of yarn.

Row 1 (RS): With MC, chain 185, work 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, work 1 sc in each of next 5 chs, work 3 sc in next ch, work 1 sc in each of next 7 ch, *sk next 2 ch, work 1 sc in each of next 7 ch, work 3 sc in next ch, work 1 sc in each of next 7 ch; rep from * across, turn—186 sts.

Row 2: Ch 1 (not included as a stitch here and throughout) sk first st, sc2tog over next 2 sts, work 1 sc in each of next 5 sts, work 3 sc in next st, * work 1 sc in each of the 7 sts, sk next 2 sts, work 1 sc in each of next 7 sts, work 3 sc in next st; rep from across to last 7 sts, work 1 sc in each of next 5 sts, work 1 sc2tog across last 2 sts, turn—185 sts.

Row 3: Ch 1, sk first st, work 1 sc in each of next 6 sts, work 3 sc in next st, * work 1 sc in each of the next 7 sts, sk next 2 sts, work 1 sc in each of the next 7 sts, work 3 sc in next st; rep from across to last 7 sts, work 1 sc in each of next 5 sts, work 1 sc2tog across last 2 sts, turn—185 sts.

Rows 4-7: Rep Row 3 [4 times], at the end of Row 7 cut MC and change to CC.

Row 8 (WS): With CC, ch 1, sk first st, work 1 lp in each of next 6 sts, work 3 lp in next st, * work 1 lp in each of the next 7 sts, sk next 2 sts, work 1 lp in each of the next 7 sts, work 3 lp in next st; rep from across to last 7 sts, work 1 lp in each of next 5 sts, work 1 lp2tog across last 2 sts, turn—185 sts.

Row 9: With CC Rep Row 3.

Row 10: With CC Rep Row 8, cut CC and change to MC.

Rows 11-60: Pattern repeat is equal to 10 Rows. Rep Row 3 in MC [7 times]. Rep Row 8-10 in CC [1 time]. Repeat pattern repeat a total of [5 times] ending with CC on loop stitch Row. At the end of Row 60 fasten off and weave in all ends.

Optional Fur Trim:

Use 1 strand of Super Bulky fur with 9mm hook. Fur Trim is added to starting chain.

Row 1: With RS facing join yarn to corner with a sl st, ch 1, work evenly across (skip valley sts) 163 sts, turn—163 sts.

Rows 2-3: Ch 1, work 1 sc in each st across (feel with fingers as you go), turn—163 sts. At the end of Row 3 fasten off and weave in ends.
