Body: 9 sts and 5 rows = 2″ in hdc
Band: 10 sts and 10 rows = 2″ in sc blo

CONSTRUCTION
The mini simple hat is worked from the top down. The hat is finished with a join-as-you-go band. Mini pompom is made with a pom pom maker.
SIZING CHART
PATTERN:
Hat:
Round 1:
Magic Ring, ch 2, 6 hdc in the ring, pull ring tight, sl st in first hdc to join—6 sts.
Round 2:
Ch 2, 2 hdc in each st around, sl st in first hdc to join—12 sts.
Round 3:
Ch 2, * 1 hdc first st, 2 hdc next st; rep from * around, sl st in the first hdc to join—18 sts.
Round 4:
Ch 2, hdc in each st around, sl st in the first hdc to join—18 sts.
Rounds 5-6:
Rep round 4.
Band
The band is joined as you go to the hat edge.
Row 1:
Ch 5, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, sk first st at the hat edge, sl st in next 2 sts (hat edge), turn—4 sts.
Row 2:
Sk sl sts, sc in the blo of each st across, turn—4 sts.
Row 3:
Ch 1, sc in the blo of each st across, sl st in next 2 sts (hat edge), turn—4 sts.
Rows 4-18:
Repeat Rows 2-3 ending on Row 2. Sl st band together by going through the blo of each st last row, joining to starting ch of the first round. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Pompom:
Make a mini yarn pompom and attach it to the top of the hat. Watch tutorial HERE.
Hanger
Use a metal ornament hook to hang or use it as a present topper.
