The Plush & Posh Pillow & Blanket Set is a free crochet pattern on my blog. This modern and chic crochet blanket and crochet pillow is perfect for your home. It looks beautiful styled as a bed throw and pillow or gather the crochet blanket around your Christmas Tree as a skirt. This is a modern look that looks great paired with a tree skirt basket. The pattern is crocheted in the Herringbone Single Crochet Stitch. It’s a beautiful ‘knit look’ stitch that crochets up quickly. Video tutorial on YouTube included.

Plush & Posh Pillow and Blanket Set

The Plush & Posh Pillow & Blanket Set is an Easy level pattern, and it’s quick to crochet. The herringbone single crochet stitch works up beautifully and has a knit look effect. If you’ve never crocheted this stitch before, I encourage you to try it out. I’ve worked through it slowly in my YouTube tutorial. I found this crochet stitch tricky to learn, so I hope I’ve made it easy for you to understand.

The Yarn

The yarn used to crochet the Plush & Posh Pillow and Blanket crochet pattern is Tuff Puff from WeCrochet. It’s a 100% wool roving yarn that is soft and squishy. Tuff Puff comes in 24 gorgeous shades so you’re sure to find one that’s perfect for your home decor. I used Flamingo for my crochet pillow and my crochet blanket.

A pink knitted scarf with plush pine cones and posh yarn.

The Hook

I’m completely in LOVE with the Hook Nook Jumbo Hooks. They’re not only amazing to work with but they’re so pretty as well. I used the 15mm crochet hook for this crochet pattern. I swatched it with my 16mm and the gauge was almost the same. I’ve seen some hooks also sized at 15.5mm so any of these three sizes should work fine for the Plush & Posh Pillow and Blanket Set. Buy Hook Nook Hooks from WeCrochet HERE buy from Walmart.com HERE. I’ll also link my favourite 16mm hook for you and Clover 15mm crochet hook below from Amazon.
