Project Tips
Project Time: Approximately 15–20 minutes per scrubby.
- Begin with a magic ring to create a tight, closed centre for a polished finish.
- Scrubby yarn can be difficult to see. If you are new to textured yarns, practice the pattern first using a smooth cotton yarn. Cotton also works well for face scrubbies or gentle cleaning pads.
- This pattern uses front post double crochet stitches. Being comfortable with front post stitches before starting will make the project much easier to follow.
- When working with cotton yarn, a seamless join can be used for a more professional finish, though it is not required. With scrubby yarn, joins are less visible due to the texture.
- Keep stitches relaxed and consistent. Tight tension can make front post stitches harder to work, especially with scrubby yarn.
