I’m so excited to have my crochet Rustic Farmhouse Plaid Blanket finished in time for Christmas! It’s been such a fun project to work on in the evening while watching TV. It’s a great crochet blanket to work on mindlessly, and we all need to have one of those! If you’re anything like me, I need a crochet project like this to destress after a long day.

The rustic Farmhouse Plaid blanket is not only great for Christmas. Crochet plaid can suit your home decor year-round. I especially love crochet plaid for Fall decor. The crochet plaid in black, white, and grey in a nice neutral look amazing with my Crochet plaid pumpkins.
How to Crochet Blankets in Plaid
There are different ways to crochet plaid. Traditionally you can crochet alternating blocks of color while carrying both colors along the row. The next row will alternate different colors, so you need to cut the yarn at the Row’s end.
If you want to try a crochet plaid blanket but don’t like carrying yarn and weaving ends, this pattern is a great alternative. No yarn is carried through the work. You only carry yarn up the side of the blanket so that there’s no cutting and weaving! It’s an easy beginner-friendly crochet pattern you’ll love. The blanket edge is then covered up with a border.

Any Worsted Weight Yarn #4 ( 2 strands held together) or Bulky weight #5 or #6

Yards Needed: Note Work pattern holding 2 strands together. For Bulky yarn divide yardage in half (approx. 850 yards each colour)
