Crochet Halter Top Construction
For the Granny Pop Top or Not crochet pattern, the halter cups are worked separately and then slip-stitched together. The body and band of the top are worked in the round from the top down. To create a dress, continue working the rounds and increase rounds to achieve the desired hip width. Work rounds until the dress attains the desired length.

Having trouble unlocking the pattern?
If you’re seeing the message “Email subscription failed, please try again”, don’t worry — it’s usually an easy fix! Here are a few quick things to try:
First, double-check your login details. Make sure you’re signing in with the same email you originally used to create your Grow account. If you’re not sure, click “Forgot Password” to reset your login. Once you’ve updated it, return to my site and try again.
Next, clear your browser’s cache and cookies. Sometimes the login just gets stuck. You can also try opening the page in a private or incognito window, or switching to another browser like Chrome, Safari, or Firefox to see if that does the trick.
It also helps to make sure you’re logged into Grow directly. Visit https://grow.me and sign in there first. Once you’re logged in, come back to my site and refresh the page — your pattern should unlock automatically.
If you’re still having trouble, check your browser’s privacy settings. Grow needs cookies to verify your account, so make sure cookies and cross-site tracking are allowed. On iPhone, go to Settings → Safari → Privacy & Security, then turn off “Prevent Cross-Site Tracking” and “Block All Cookies.” On Android or Chrome, go to Settings → Site Settings → Cookies and select “Allow all cookies.”
Lastly, ad blockers or browser extensions can sometimes block the login pop-up. Try turning them off temporarily while you sign in. If nothing seems to work, log out of Grow completely by going to https://grow.me, selecting your profile icon, and choosing Log Out. Then come back to my site and try logging in again.

Row 1:
With smaller hook, ch 16, work 1 hdc in the 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across, in last ch add 2 hdc, pm in the last st, working down the opposite side of the chain, work 1 hdc in each ch, turn—29 sts.
Row 2:
Ch 1 (not included as a st here and throughout), work 1 hdc in each st across to the marker, at maker add 5 hdc in st, pm in third st, work 1 hdc in each remaining st across, turn—33 sts. Change colour if desired.
Rows 3-8 (9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16):
Rep Row 2 ending with—57 (61, 65, 69, 73, 77, 81, 85, 89) sts.
Row 9 (10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17) (RS):
Ch 1, work 1 hdc in each st across to the marker, at maker add 2 hdc in st, ch 101 (for strap), work 1 sc in the 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, work 2 hdc in the same st, hdc in each remaining st across—60 (64, 68, 72, 76, 80, 84, 88, 92) sts plus 100 st strap. Fasten off and weave in tails. Leave working yarn for second cup.
Join Cups: Work across the long edge of cups.
Band
Row 1(RS):
With RS facing, put a slip knot on the hook, join yarn to the bottom-right edge of the first cup with a sl st OR continue with yarn from the second cup, work 28 (30, 32, 36, 38, 42, 44, 48, 52) sl sts across the bottom of the cup, with RS facing work a sl st in the bottom-right edge of the second cup, work 28 (30, 32, 36, 38, 42, 44, 48, 52) sl sts across the bottom of the second cup, ch 56 (60, 64, 72, 76, 84, 88, 96, 104) for back, sl st in the first sl st to join—112 (120, 128, 144, 152, 168, 176, 192, 208) sts.
Row 2:
Ch 1, work 1 sc in the blo of each sl st across, work 1 sc in each ch across, sl st in the first sc to join—112 (120, 128, 144, 152, 168, 176, 192, 208) sts.
Row 3:
Ch 1, *sc in the blo first st, sc in the flo of next st; rep from * around, sl st in the first sc to join—112 (120, 128, 144, 152, 168, 176, 192, 208) sts.
Row 4:
Ch 1, *sc in the flo first st, sc in the blo of next st; rep from * around, sl st in the first sc to join—112 (120, 128, 144, 152, 168, 176, 192, 208) sts.

Body – Granny stitch begins
To add even more fun to your project, try working in a single colour or alternate colours. To avoid the trouble of weaving in tails, use the thumb join technique when changing colours. Slip stitch to join and cut the yarn at the join. Pull the yarn back and attach the new colour. You can then continue crocheting as normal.
Row 1:
With larger hook, ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), dc in next 2 sts, ch 1, sk st, * dc in each of next 3 sts, ch 1 sk st; rep from * around, sl st in the starting ch 3 to join, turn—28 (30, 32, 36, 38, 42, 44, 48, 52) 3 dc clusters.
Row 2:
Ch 3, 2 dc in ch-1 sp, ch 1, sk 3 dc, *3 dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1, sk 3 dc; rep from * around, sl st in the starting ch 3 to join, turn—28 (30, 32, 36, 38, 42, 44, 48, 52) 3 dc clusters.
Rows 3-9:
Rep Row 2 until the top is the desired length ending on the RS of work.
Slip Stitch Cups Together
With the smaller hook, put a slip knot on the hook. At the base of the cups, insert the hook through the blo of the first st of the left cup, then insert the hook through the flo of the first st of the right cup, yarn over, pulling the yarn through all loops on the hook (first sl st made).
Continue slip stitching the cups together approximately 10 (11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18) sts. Or to the desired coverage. Fasten off and weave in tails to the WS.
Back Band
Row 1 (RS):
With the smaller hook, put a slip knot on the hook, with the back facing, join yarn to the side of the right cup in the first st at the base with a sl st, work 1 sc in each st across the band, sl st in the next 2 sts to the side of the left cup—56 (60, 64, 72, 76, 84, 88, 96, 104) sts.
Row 2:
Sk sl sts, work 1 sc in each st across, sl st in the next 2 sts to the side of the cup—56 (60, 64, 72, 76, 84, 88, 96, 104) sts.
Rows 3-7:
Rep Row 2, last row end with 1 sl st to join. Fasten off and weave in tails.
