Who else loves soft pastel colours? I am soon to be a Grandma, so I needed to come up with an adorable blanket pattern perfect for a baby. The Rainbow Hugs Mosaic Blanket, with its next-to-skin softness, is the perfect baby blanket. Its bright and colourful colours make the perfect blanket to suit any nursery.
This Mosaic Crochet Blanket pattern will be a fun and rewarding project to do, especially if it is for a new little one in your life.
Mosaic Crochet can be difficult, but once you get the hang of it, you will fly through the blanket. I have included a video to help guide you through the crochet pattern. Mosaic is intimidating, but once you understand the charts, it is so simple and addicting.

Yarn Inspiration
Heatherly is the perfect choice for baby blankets and other projects that require next-to-skin softness! It’s the perfect blend of Acrylic and merino wool for soft and cozy makes. Cheerful colours in a wide range of classic pastel colours and soothing deeper shades to fit any nursery’s colour palette. The colours chosen make the perfect pastel rainbow. I’ve selected a darker shade of pink and blue that can be added for a longer blanket.
WeCrochet has a few more yarn options that will work perfectly with this pattern. Brava worsted and Color Theory are great 100% acrylic options that come in modern shades. If you prefer cotton, Comfy worsted is an excellent choice. Another yarn staple with a large selection of colours is Caron Simply Soft (CDN) from Mary Maxim.
