We would make things like baked gingerbread man to put on the tree, popcorn garland, foam ornaments, decorate clear Christmas balls! The snowflake is worked in the round.

Round 1:
Magic ring, 12 sc in the ring, pull the ring partially closed, sl st in the first sc to join—12 sts.
Round 2:
Ch 1,* sc in the first st, next st (sc, ch 3, sc); rep from * around, sl st in the first sc to join—18 sc, 6 ch-3.
Round 3:
Ch 1, sc in first st, ch 2, sk sc, in ch-3 sp (sc, ch 3, sc), ch 2, sk sc, *sc in next sc, ch 2, sk sc, in ch-3 sp (sc, ch 3, sc), ch 2, sk sc; rep from * around, sl st in first sc to join—18 sc, 6 ch-3, 12 ch-2.
Round 4:
Ch 1, sc in first st, ch 2, sk sc, in ch-3 sp (sc, ch 5, sc), ch 2, sk sc, *sc in next sc, ch 2, sk sc, in ch-3 sp (sc, ch 5, sc), ch 2, sk sc; rep from * around, sl st in first sc to join—18 sc, 6 ch-5, 12 ch-2. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Finishing:
Finger block or dampen and pin to a blocking mat. Thread a piece of twine and add three wooden beads. Knot the twine for hanging.
