Pattern is written for child size pictured but includes notes on how to make larger for a teen or adult. You can also make a baby size cocoon by working this pattern in worsted weight yarn and a 5mm crochet hook.

This is an experienced pattern design due to the crocodile stitch that includes increasing and decreasing. Check out this video to get comfortable with the crocodile stitch first.
Cocoon is worked in 2 pieces. Scaled front with a flat back worked in double crochet stitches. Pieces are then seamed together with an opening at the top.

Infant size with worsted weight yarn and a 5mm hook. Follow the child size pattern and cocoon will be 19″ x 24″. The yardage needed will be approximately the same as the child pattern.
